No matter what, I can always count on Gap to have classic, quality pieces that I can add to my wardrobe and yesterday was no different. I had originally went into the store with plans of only doing a little window shopping (who was I kidding?) but couldn't resist the soft cotton of this t-shirt or these high waisted shorts. I felt like Farrah Fawcette in this racerback tee, center part and aviator lenses, not to mention I got complemented on this simple tee over and over yesterday. In my opinion, this outfit pretty much epitomizes the Fourth of July. 

Peek-A-Boo

One of my favorite aspects of thirfting is the thrill of the hunt. About a month ago I took a study break in between preparing for finals and went to the thrift store with my friend Amanda. When I came across this black and white striped dress I was a bit hesitant to purchase it because it was a polyester blend, but when I put it on, I knew that I had to have it as summer staple in my wardrobe. On this particular day I went for a laid back look throwing on my faux-leather vest and Chuck Taylors. For a little bit of glam I applied my Bare Minerals Moxie Lipstick in Lead the Way, Gold Link Bracelet and shades. Oh, and isn't the little peek-a-boo of leg just the right amount of sexy without trying to be? 

Circus

According to Britney (Spears that is), there are only two types of people in the world-- 

           those that entertain

                                                                                    &

                                                                         those that observe.

I'm not quite sure that I agree with Brit-Brat and that statement, but yesterday as I took these pictures I channeled my inner entertainer,  acting as a "put on a show type of girl." 

I took a trip to the small city of Lumberton, North Carolina to visit my grandmother for her birthday, and lets just say my midriff bearing, cookout attire had heads turning. In a country town full of old people, what more can you expect though?

Even as I took these pictures, downtown at the local Children's Museum, I could feel the eyes of the little oldies taking a Sunday drive watching me curiously. To be fair, I guess it's not that often they have small scale photo shoots taking place in the middle of downtown.
