The Orange Coat

Coat: Plenty by Tracy Reese / Boots: Jessica Simpson  (similar) / Dress: Rue21 (similar)
A slightly better look at my dress
I remember the day I first laid eyes on it. It was a brisk day in October and I had reluctantly followed my mother into Anthroplogie. Hanging in the back corner of the store was this beautiful orange coat with a fur collar and peplum waist, in my size. When I put it on it was as if it was made for me. I told my mother then, "I have to have this coat!" Yesterday morning I woke up to find the beautiful Plenty by Tracy Reese coat waiting for me underneath the Christmas Tree! Unable to resist it, I decided to wear it on Christmas Day. It's such a lovely coat and makes a bold statement.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

'Twas The Night Before Christmas

Dress:  Goodwill (Similar) \ Necklace: New York &Company (Similar) \ Shoes: JcPenny\ Coat: Guess (Similar)

'Twas the night before Christmas and my mother said to me, "You look like Dorothy Dandridge," when she saw my fabulous "Lucy Curls." For months now I've been following the incredibly talented Chynna (@bigdoesmyhair) on Instagram and lusting over the signature curls she gives her clients. I finally decided to stop by her salon and give "Lucy Curls" a try, and I am in LOVE!

Feeling inspired by my glamorous hair, I came home and put together this Holiday Glam look. The dress was a Goodwill find from this summer. Its a little hard to see the details of it in the pictures (sorry!) but its satin with a bit of a floral design. I also added on my mother's diamond/pearl statement necklace from New York and Company and my metallic silver pumps from JCPenny. Because its so cold I also threw on my mother's textured Guess peacoat. The perfect look for a winter date night or holiday party.  I can't wait to get all dolled up again tomorrow for Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve!

A Little Oxblood, Fur & Snow

Top: JcPenny / Fur Collar: The Loft (similar)/ Jeggings: The Limited (similar) / Shoes: c/o Deb/ Lipstick: Mac "Hang Up" and Mary Kay "Midnight Red
My family and I traveled to the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee Monday afternoon and when we woke up on Tuesday morning it was a winter wonderland outside. Call me impractical, but with the beautiful scenery surrounding me, I thought it was the perfect time to break out my oxblood heels and new sheer silk blouse from JcPenny for a pre-Thanksgiving photo shoot.

I have worn these leather jeggings from The Limited almost twice a week for the past month, which I guess might be an indication that I am thankful for them. My fur collar was actually attached to a cardigan sweater I got from The Loft about two years ago. I unbuttoned it and threw it around my neck to add some warmth to this look.

I can't think of a more beautiful place to be for Thanksgiving and can't wait to share more Holiday looks in the coming days!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Heels in the Outfield

Skirt: Forver21/ Sweater: c/o Deb/ Blazer: Thrifted/ Shoes: c/o Deb/ Clutch: Charlotte Russe/ Tights: Gap/ Necklace: Rue21 (similar)

Let me start out by saying I would never really wear heels and a short skirt to a baseball game. In fact, an outfit like this would be appropriate for a trip to your favorite restaurant, a  slightly casual dinner/ holiday party or, if you're just fabulous, a day of shopping.

I pulled together a mix of  super old and new items from my closet to make this look work. The entire outfit is styled around the baby pink skater skirt from Forever21. It was a steal at only $15.80 and can be styled in many different ways. Originally sticking to a neutral color palette I threw on my brown tights from Gap, nude ankle strap pumps from deb along with this chunky tan sweater. The babule necklace is one that  I have for nearly four years now and was on super sale at Rue21. To add a little depth to the outfit I put on my suede cranberry blazer and my look was complete.

What do you think?
