Sunset on Summer

Shirt- C/O: Deb / Skirt- C/O: Deb/ Necklaces- C/O: Deb/ Shoes: Target

Summer in North Carolina is quickly coming to an end, so I've been trying to squeeze in some of my favorite summer staples before I have to pack them away and make room in my closet for sweaters and boots. One summer look that I'm not quite ready to say bye-bye to is crop tops! They are fun to wear and are a simple way to add a little spice to otherwise bland looks.

When I saw this jersey maxi skirt on the debshops website, I knew I had to have it. Beacuse it has somewhat of a highwaist, I also knew it would be perfect to wear with a crop top. I think that is part of the reason this outfit works ---  there is a good balance of skin. In other words, since  I'm showing a lot of skin with the crop top, it was important that I didn't reveal a lot on the bottom. The look is fun, cute and tasteful all at the same time!

It was also a simple look that gained a lot of attention; one lady literally chased me down in the mall wanting to know where I got my shirt from! I was happy to point her in the direction of deb.

So, what summer trends are you not looking forward to saying bye-bye to yet?

  1. Cute ensemble. I have a leopard print crop top and a coral skirt from Arden B. I plan to wear it in Aruba in October.

    Thanks for stopping by!
