The Bride Ain't the Only One Blushing!

Who doesn't love a good wedding? Recently my daddy was asked to be a groomsmen in one of his high school friend's weddings, and as soon as I got the news I set out on the prowl to find a super cute dress to wear to the nuptials. Now, I promise that my wardrobe extends outside of the perimeters of Forever 21, but yet again my outfit came from every teenage girl's favorite store...Forever 21!  But, I mean seriously...who could pass up this super chic dress with an adorable flower embellishment at the bottom, especially for $32!? My nude Elle pumps which I got on sale for $30 from Kohl's  accented the dress perfectly, along with my rose gold Michael Kors watch ( a birthday present from my parents) and gold and pink headband from Target $6.

My Mommy!
My lovely mother also partook in the fabulousity in an one shouldered frock from Belk, chocolate brown BCBG shoes, a cute heart shaped gold clutch from TJ Maxx and jewelry from her own jewelry box! The wedding was beautiful and everyone had a nice time!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Come Here Rude Boy Boy Boy!

It's not a secret. I am absolutely, 100%,  in love with Robyn Rihanna Fenty so when I found out she was coming to the Greensboro Coliseum, I knew right then and there that I was going to be in the building. While I was certain that I was going to be among those screaming "Please Don't Stop The Music" I had no idea what I was going to wear. I was inspired however, when a boring night at home turned into a semi fun night of watching videos on YouTube. Rihanna's Rude Boy video held the key to my fashion mystery! The patterns, the colors it all made me feel good and more importantly like dancing.  I set out to create a look that was just as fun and feisty as Rihanna was in this video, and.... I think I succeeded.

My crop top came from Forever 21 and has specs of red, turquoise and lime green in it, a fabulous find for only $19.80. My black cotton pencil skirt was old and something that I had gotten from Forever21 a few years back, but it still looked as good as new. Probably the best part of the outfit were my cute shoes that I got for $5 dollars at Rue21. And finally, to finish the look were my mom's Jessica Simpson Turquoise drop earrings.

Buggin' out with my "Nita Bug"

This week, me and "Baby Girl" my VW Beetle made our very first road trip ever. Being that I've had my car almost three months now and had yet to let her burn some rubber, I decided that my grandmother's birthday was the perfect excuse to put some miles on my baby. So, I gassed up and hit the road. My grandma, who by the way insists that she isn't old and therefore that we call her Nina (and who has over the years also earned the nickname "Nita Bug") was more than just a little surprised to see me and my little blue bug roll into her yard.

True to grandmother fashion, my Nina had me chauffeur her around town everywhere from her mother's house even further out into the country than her house, to her job where she couldn't wait to take me inside to meet all her co-workers. For a fun filled day with my Nina I decided to keep it casual and cute, sporting a new pair of skinny leg jeans that I happened to come across in Ross Dress For Less while I was on vacation in Miami and an orange halter top with tribal beading that I got from Rue21 about 2 years ago (Everything that was once old is new again, right?) Of course I can't go anywhere without a pair of my coveted sunglasses and a simple pair of flats helped to complete my look.

In my family the shopaholic syndrome is definitely inherited. Me, my Nina, and my younger cousin Yaliana spent the entire day shopping, I lucked up on a cute floral dress and a sparkly gold Jessica Simpson number that I'm saving for the perfect occasion. I just hope I can still fit into it after all the good food I ate, especially my Great Grandma Mae's creamed corn...It's just something about grandparent's cooking!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Nina!
